  • What Is Plan Management?
When you are approved for NDIS funding and you receive your plan, you will have the option of being: Self Managed, Agency Managed or Plan Managed. Self Managed and Agency Managed both involve you doing all the paper work, bookkeeping and administration in order to get the most out of your funding and continue to get the support and finding that you require. Plan Management means that you have a Plan Manager (that's what we do at LifeAbility) that does all the paperwork, bookkeeping and administration for you at no extra cost to you. Simply have 'Choice and Control' added to your plan at your planning meeting (it's no extra cost to you). Then register with us to be plan managed by LifeAbility Plan Management and we will take care of all the administration for you. If you have any questions or want some support, call us on 02 4314 2227. Let's chat!
  • Is there any cost to me?
No. When you are Plan Managed there are no costs to you and costs do not come out of your Plan funds. The costs of plan management services are covered by having 'Choice and Control' (see FAQ 1) included in your Plan - so the cost does not come out of your Plan funds. When you are approved for 'Choice and Control' (see FAQ 1) the NDIS will allocate a budget for plan management, and your plan manager will claim their fees directly from NDIS. Follow these steps to be Plan Managed OR Give us a call 02 4314 2227 - Help is here - let's chat!
  • How do I change to be plan managed?
It's easy! First you must have ‘Improved Life Choices’ included in your NDIS plan. To have ‘Improved Life Choices’ included in your plan you will need to either: OPTION 1 Request a review of your current NDIS Plan and ask to have ‘Improved Life Choices’ included in your plan. Then you will be able to receive plan management services (with LifeAbility Plan Management for example) with no expense to you. Note, reviews can sometimes take time – be patient and check in with us as it’s worth it. OR OPTION 2 If you already have a review coming up, attend the meeting and refer to back to OPTION 1 OR OPTION 3 If you don’t have an NDIS plan yet, you can also ask to have ‘Improved Life Choices’ included in your plan right from the beginning and you will receive plan management services at no extra expense! Follow this link and we can take you through the process now!
